Insomnia
It would be nothing short of an understatement to say that the plague of sleep deprivation has provided me with acute awareness of my surroundings. Night after night, I lay here humbly taking in the practiced soliloquy my surrounding walls had seemingly prepared for me to hear. Tonite, however, I have become alerted to a presence that I hadn’tnoticed before.A creature who had been stalking in wait.
The thing had nestled itself within the shadows at the corner of my room. While it remained unseen, I could feel the creatures existence, etching at my mind in a wanton nature. I felt as though I were being observed, an invisible pair of eyes watching my every move, calmly waiting for me to fall asleep. Now as I find myself frozen in terror I can feel my eyes drooping. I hear breathing, exasperated in excitement, and I fear the worst.
